Where was it?, and When was it?
Likewise, I went through a similar situation two months ago, when I visited a bank, and the concerned authorities did not allow me to use my mobile phone.
Although I had not had any plans to go to the bank, I went there when I realized that I forgot to collect my chequebook.
I immediately rushed to do the bank, leaving my other work pending. Since using the phone is risky while driving, I decided to make calls to my clients from the bank while waiting in the queue.
But to my dismay, the bank manager did not allow me to use my phone.
Why you were not allowed?
The banks usually have too much cash at their disposal, and due to this reason, they are more vulnerable to robbery and other criminal activities. And, for most crimes offenders utilize the services of cell phones. Hence to safeguard cash, banks do not allow the usage of mobile phones.
How did you feel about it?
I wanted my phone to inform my clients. I wished to communicate that I would contact them later due to my sudden visit to the bank.
Since I was unable to pick up the calls from the clients, I had tremendous stress.

Where was it?, and When was it?
Two months back our college took us to the nearby hill station. It was an excursion trip, and the primary purpose was to make the students feel good post lockdown.
During that trip, our teacher did not allow the students to use their mobile phones.
Why you were not allowed?
The teacher did not permit us for a reason. Just after reaching the hill station one of the students lost his mobile phone. His phone was an expensive one.
The teacher in consultation with the principal had taken the mobile phone of all the students and put them inside a box on the bus.
The teacher did not want other students to lose their mobile phones. That is why she took that decision.
How did you feel about it?
Initially, I was upset because I wanted to capture memorable moments with my friends through the camera of my mobile.
However, after some time, our principal gave her a DSLR camera to us to click pictures. Hence we did not feel the need to use our mobile phones.
