I would like to talk about Hanoi, a city that I truly enjoyed visiting.
Hanoi is the capital city of Vietnam, and I visited it last year for work related to the travel industry. I stayed there for almost two months, which gave me enough time to explore the city deeply and understand its culture.
During my stay, I visited many famous places such as Hoan Kiem Lake, the Old Quarter, and Tran Quoc Pagoda. I also enjoyed trying local Vietnamese food, especially traditional coffee and street food, which are very popular there.
Apart from sightseeing, I spent time meeting local people and working with travel-related businesses. I found the people very polite, friendly, and hardworking. I also loved walking through the narrow streets of the Old Quarter because the atmosphere there feels energetic and unique.
What I enjoyed most about Hanoi was its perfect combination of history and modern lifestyle. The city has beautiful lakes, ancient temples, busy markets, and modern cafés all together. Despite being crowded, it still has a peaceful charm in many areas.
Another reason I enjoyed the city was that it was affordable and tourist-friendly. Transportation, food, and shopping were reasonably priced compared to many other international destinations.
Overall, visiting Hanoi was a memorable experience for me because it gave me both professional opportunities and cultural experiences. I would definitely love to visit it again in the future.
Follow-ups
1. What are the disadvantages of living in a very famous city?
Living in a famous city can be stressful because of traffic congestion, pollution, high living costs, noise, and overcrowding. People may also have less personal space and a fast-paced lifestyle.
2. Do you prefer to visit well-developed cities or cities with a long history?
Personally, I prefer cities with a long history because they offer cultural experiences, traditional architecture, and unique stories about the past. However, well-developed cities are also attractive because of modern facilities and convenience.
3. For those who live in cities, is it because they want to or have to?
It can be both. Some people choose city life because of better career opportunities, education, and entertainment, while others move there out of necessity for work and financial reasons.
