I would like to talk about a time when I sent an important email to one of my international travel clients but did not receive a reply for several days.
This incident happened last year when I was handling a travel-related project connected with Vietnam. I had sent an email to a business partner regarding hotel bookings and tour arrangements for a group of tourists.
The email contained important details such as travel dates, pricing, transportation arrangements, and customer requirements. Since the tour dates were approaching quickly, I was expecting a response within one or two days so that I could finalize the arrangements.
However, even after waiting for almost a week, I did not receive any reply. Initially, I thought the person might be busy, but gradually I became worried because the booking confirmation was extremely important for the clients.
I started checking my email repeatedly throughout the day, thinking that maybe I had missed the notification. I also became slightly stressed because delays in communication can create problems in the travel business.
Later, I decided to send a polite follow-up message through WhatsApp. After that, the client finally replied and explained that they had been traveling and had limited internet access. Fortunately, everything was sorted out in time.
Although the issue was resolved eventually, the experience taught me the importance of follow-ups and communication through multiple channels. It also made me realize that delayed replies are not always intentional.
Overall, I felt anxious and impatient during that period, but in the end, the situation was handled successfully.
