Sample 1

Introduction

There is no denying this conviction that change is the only permanent thing in this world. Although I have had many positive changes in my life, one of them is worth mentioning.

When and where it happened?

It happened three years back when, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the higher authorities in my country imposed a strict lockdown, so I had to stay indoors for six months. A positive change occurred during that time, bringing a paradigm shift in our lives.

What happened?

Since I had a lot of time at my disposal, I decided to use that prudently, and the best way to do that was to learn a new skill. After researching the internet for hours, I made a list of skills in demand and discussed them with my near and dear ones. Based on my strengths and weaknesses, I decided to learn digital marketing.

I tried to learn it through YouTube initially, but I could have done better. Finally, I joined an online course and followed the tips and techniques provided with determination, dedication, and discipline. My hard work brought good results, and within one month, I learned the tricks of the trade.

My journey did not stop there, and I made further advances by finding clients who needed digital marketing support. And after two months of training, I started raking in big bucks.

How did you feel about it?

I felt good about it because I used my leisure time productively to learn something that would remain in demand for many decades.

And explain how it changed your life in good ways.

It positively changed my life because it boosted my confidence and made a reliable platform for me from where I could earn money by offering my services. Lastly, it helped me to spend funds on personal improvement.

Sample 2

Introduction

We all hate to change when we are in our comfort zone, but it is a gospel truth that change is the only permanent thing in this world. A positive change occurred in my life, which is worth mentioning.

When and where it happened

It happened at my home two years back when I had a three-month holiday. During those days, I thought that the world was my oyster and I used that time prudently by acquiring a skill.

What happened

I learned to play the guitar

How you felt about it

The experience was mixed. Initially, it was extremely challenging for me because I had no knowledge of playing musical instruments, so I had to start from scratch. Initially, I followed free courses on YouTube to learn it. Although I learned the basics, the growth needed to be faster.

The main reason for my slow progress was that I could not clear my doubts because, on YouTube, the trainer gives the basic information, but he cannot clear your doubts and most of the conflicts you need to handle yourself.

So, I opted for a home tutor who would come to my home every Monday and Friday. The process continued for two months, and after that, I became a seasoned guitarist.

And explain how it changed your life in good ways.

Playing the guitar brought a paradigm shift in my life because it helped me make effective use of the leisure time at my disposal. Before learning it, I used to waste my spare time on unproductive tasks like gossiping, watching TV or roaming here and there. So it was a turning point in my life as it helped me to broaden my horizons. Moreover, it opened doors for exciting career opportunities.

Secondly, it made me a patient person because when you play guitar, you learn to synchronise the beats, which brings patience into your life.

Lastly, it has helped me increase my earnings substantially because I have started providing training classes these days. In a nutshell, learning to play the guitar turned my life around.
