Being a tough guy, I love to do difficult tasks. During my school days, I handled a challenging assignment worth mentioning.
What the task was
The task was to prepare a presentation on ”The pressing problems on the planet Earth,” I had just two days to do that. My classmate gave me this task, and despite having apprehensions, I had to accept it.
How did you complete it?
Making a presentation containing more than 50 slides in two days requires immaculate planning, and I managed to do that by working with determination, dedication, and discipline.
Firstly, I listed the major environmental issues such as pollution, deforestation, soil degradation, etc. After that, I wrote the reasons and solutions for these issues. After that, I mentioned how all the sections of society can work in tandem to minimize the damage caused by these issues.
Lastly, I wrote about how these problems affect the current generation and could jeopardize the posterity’s future.
Why the task was difficult?
The task was a tough nut to crack because the topic I provided needed research, and I needed more time for that. Moreover, there was no one to support me, so I had to do it alone and I had to go the extra mile to achieve that.
Why you were proud of the completion of the task
After the successful completion of the task, I felt like climbing the ladder of success. Moreover, I was on cloud nine because my presentation helped me come out first in the competition organized by our school. And due to my efforts, my class got the trophy. All my classmates were proud of me, and my teacher gave me a pat on the back for the way I managed that daunting task. Moreover, the appreciation I received that day from my near and dear ones will always remain etched in my memories. In a nutshell, completing that presentation was a real feather in my cap.
Well, I have performed various daunting tasks throughout my life. One of them is exceptional and worth mentioning. During my graduation days, I had to find patients for each medical subject, and I was told that the scores would add to my academic performance to pass my final year.
So, I decided to make a list earlier. I used to ponder about the things that I was going to do. Initially, I thought I would give up, but later on, I made a list, and after some time, I accomplished it, which I will tell you about next.
Pediatric patients were easier to find out because I could find them in every nook and corner; however, class 2 patients were complex to find out because they require particular findings, so I thought that I would serve the impoverished people in the slum area so that they can get advantage of treatment.
Moreover, I thought I would pass by this method, so I pursued them to go with me. Then, I found the initial findings in the patients and did an oral examination of them. After that, I treated the disease in them, and that was when my teacher gave me accolades; otherwise, it would have had an abysmal effect on me.
With this approach, I was able to achieve comprehensive growth and holistic development, so this was when I passed with flying colors. My parents also felt over the moon. Moreover, I was also feeling happy about the task that I did because initially, I was giving up, but after some time, I could do the task, so this is when I did a difficult task.
Two years ago, when I was in graduation, the Chitkara University celebrated Anesthesia Day. My teacher gave my name to a quiz competition on a social issue Without my consent.
As I needed to improve my English accent and did not have good communication skills, I started step by step I started step by step.
Firstly, I started to search on the Internet about my topic and saw 14 to 16 videos. After that, I prepared my full content. Then, I started practicing in front of the mirror and with a group of my family members so they could build up my confidence.
. As the day came, my legs were shivering, and my voice cracked. , but I gave my 100 percent, and I won an award in that quiz competition
I felt difficulty for two main reasons. First, I had two days to prepare my topic. Secondly, this was my first time participating in a quiz competition. I felt proud of myself.
Although I have faced numerous complex tasks in my life, one of them was highly challenging and, hence, worth mentioning.
And the task was in my job where I was handling the customer department. The company issued two nights and three days holiday vouchers to the clients. However, due to the rush, the company needed help to fulfil the commitment.
And I was assigned the task of convincing the customers to shift the package to the following year. So it was quite a difficult task, and for its completion, I called all the dealers of the company; most of them were too agitated, and convincing them to shift to another date was an arduous task.
However, I worked with determination a discipline, and through my negotiation skills, I was able to convince all of them that the task was completed. So it took a lot of energy of mine, but I did it.
And after completing the task, I was on cloud nine because the company’s MD gave me special appreciation. And I got a promotion also.
Moreover, I got this feeling that, given the challenging task, I can bring out the best in myself. And whenever I get into a difficult situation, I recall that moment. And the appreciation I got that day would always remain etched in my heart.
