Sample 1

Introduction

Although I have watched umpteen bad movies in my life, one was a disaster, which is worth mentioning.

When did you watch it?

I watched it last month with my family at home.

What genre was the movie?

The movie’s name is Shandar, and it was a romantic cum action movie.

Why did you hate it?

There were beaucoup reasons for hating it. First, the day I watched it was extremely tiring due to the hard work I had done the whole day. So I wanted to relax by watching a movie that could entertain me. But it turned out to be a dud.

Firstly the jokes inside the movie were terrible. I thought my family would have guffaws of laughter while watching the movie, but the way the whole cast performed, it seemed like they were jokers instead of comedians. Also, the scriptwriter could have done a better job by including comedy content, which was age-old.

Apart from this, there was no storyline. The actor’s roles needed to be clarified, and the director needed to extract their full potential. I watched the movie till the end, but I needed clarification on who the protagonist was.

Moreover, there were some action scenes in which the ere was a share exaggeration of the physical strength of the villain in the movie. For example, he managed to stop a helicopter from flying by holding the landing skids with both hands.

Lastly, the choreographer could have done better work; most dance moves looked terrible. And about eight songs in the movie were remixes of the old Bollywood songs.

In short, the movie was a sheer waste of two hours. And after watching it, I wrote a review on various social media platforms and gave it no stars.

Sample 2

Introduction

Whenever I have leisure time, I utilize it by watching a movie. Although I like most movies, some of them disappoint me. One such film is worth mentioning.

What genre was the movie?

Recently I watched a movie by the name of Sanju. It is a biopic based on the life of famous actor Sanjay Dutt.

When did you watch it?

I watched it last week with my family members at my home.

Why did you hate it?

I’m not too fond of it for many reasons. The first and foremost is the twisting of facts. There is no denying this conviction that the production time has to make some changes in the original script to make the movie enticing for the audience. However, that doesn’t mean that you withhold the facts and include events that were never a part of the actor’s life.

Although the director left no stone unturned to make this movie a grand success, in pursuit of achieving this aim, he played with the script. Firstly in the film, Sanjay Dutt is shown married to Manyata Dutt. However, the director purposely did not show his first marriage with Richa Sharma.

Sanjay Dutt married Richa Sharma in 1987, and their relationship ended in 1996 when Richa left for a heavenly abode due to cancer in 1996. Our life partner is an essential part of our life, and excluding the tragic end of the protagonist’s wife was a big blunder from the director.

Secondly, Sanjay Dutt has one daughter named Trishala from his first marriage, and to my dismay, her character was also not shown in the movie.

Due to the above reasons, the movie Sanjay disappointed me, and I will not watch it again.

Sample 3

Introduction

Being a movie fanatic, I like most of the films; however, I disliked one movie, ‘ Udta Punjab”.

What genre was the movie?

The movie was about the problem of Drug abuse in the state of Punjab in India.

When did you watch it?

I watched it last month back in a theater.

Why did you hate it?

I was not too fond of it for many reasons. Firstly the movie shows the state of Punjab, like that the state is full of drug addicts. It is a blatant lie because there is no denying this conviction that drug abuse is a pressing problem in Punjab, but it is in a few areas; the rest of Punjab is away from drugs.

It is a state which produces researchers, sportspersons, and engineers, and terming it a drug state is detrimental to its reputation.

Apart from this, another reason for disliking the movie is that it shows the local police in lousy shape and depicts that it is due to the involvement of cops in drug peddling; the usage of drugs is growing exponentially. Such misrepresentation harms the general public because people consider the police as a force that protects them from antisocial elements, and if the general public starts mistreating the police the law and order situation could be in absolute disarray. Moreover, due to the stringent guidelines, the drug menace in the Punjab state has declined considerably.

Lastly, the movie exhibits that drugs are available in every nook and corner of the Punjab state, which is not true because, due to strict government rules, it is impossible to sell them openly.

Sample 4

Introduction

Being a movie buff, I love most of them. However, there is one which I dislike.

What genre was the movie?

It was a suspense movie.

When did you watch it?

I watched it last month with my college friends.

Why did you hate it?

I went to watch the movie with tremendous enthusiasm, and I believed that the star cast would give a stunning performance. Although I was happy with the actors’ efforts, the movie’s plot disappointed me because it sent the wrong signal.

There is no denying this conviction that we go to cinemas to watch movies for entertainment. However, many people tend to get motivated by films and indulge in anti-social activities. The main reason for this is the wrong portrayal of the villains in the movies, where they look like heroes.

The same was the case with the Social 26 movie, in which a group of imposters went on a robbery spree in the guise of CBI officers. They loot business people by showing their false identities. Apart from this, the offenders duped the police investing team and fled to Dubai after amassing many funds through their dubious works.

Such portrayal of the anti-social elements is counterproductive for society because it signals that there is no harm in doing money laundering by duping others. It is the bounden duty of the film fraternity to educate the public about the evils in society. However, in the movie Special 26, the production team did the opposite by showing the robbers as successful, and the role of the police was of a mere spectator.

Due to these reasons, I wouldn’t say I liked the movie named Special 26.
