Sample 1

Introduction

Being busy, I rarely go out to buy things, however, whenever I go I visit a shop near my residence.

What sorts of products or services does it sell?

It started as a grocery shop, but it has experienced a paradigm shift with time. The owner of this shop is an ex-serviceman, and his primary focus is not on earning money: he loves to talk to people from all walks of life. Due to this reason, he tries to provide all those goods and services which could generate footfall.

The show owner is a voracious reader, and due to this reason, he has a vast collection of books to sell. Many people come to him with his problems; after listening to them, he recommends books. I vividly remember going through a lean patch during my tenth standard; he advised me to read a book named “Atomic Habits” to change my mindset. His advice worked like a charm, and I passed my exam with flying colours.

 What the shop looks like?

It is a big shop; the entry area is an art gallery with a massive collection of home decor and gift items.

The middle area is for books, where people can buy and read books.

And the rear part is a departmental store with a massive range of groceries. In this modern era where big shopping malls have made inroads in our lives, this shop has maintained its charm, and people from my neighbourhood visit it to buy various products and services.

Where is it located?

It is located a stone’s throw away distance from my residence.
