Introduction

There is no escaping the fact that time is our most valuable asset. Due to this reason, it is imperative to utilize it efficiently.

Although I never miss any appointment, on one occasion, I failed to reach due to an unforeseen contingency.

When and where it happened?

It was two years back; I was in Chandigarh city.

What was the appointment for?

I went there to meet a renowned dentist for root canal therapy. To avoid last-minute disappointment, I took the appointment in advance.

What happened when you missed it?

After reaching Chandigarh, I realized that the news of the coronavirus spread suddenly flashed on the television. Due to that, people started rushing back to their homes.

Although there was no formal announcement regarding the lockdown, people were in terror, and due to that, there was traffic congestion on the roads.

Despite my best efforts, I couldn’t reach the doctor’s clinic and missed the appointment. I was getting regular calls from the clinic, and I finally apologized and told the concerned staff member to cancel my appointment.

Due to that, I had to manage my next two months with immense tooth pain.

Explain how you felt about the appointment.

That appointment was important for me because my dental health was in danger without proper treatment. For two months, I managed by eating from the right side teeth and didn’t expose the left ones.

Luckily I got a chance after two months, and I again took the appointment and received quality treatment from the dentist.

Sample Answer 2

Introduction.

In the contemporary epoch, numerous people are encountering the issue of forgetting important tasks after getting involved in daily activities. I do my best to remember most of my work and appointments; however, I would like to narrate a situation when I missed the most significant appointments of my life.

When and where did it happen? What was the appointment for?

At the age of 18, I started experiencing hair fall, and I used to lose more than 300 hair strands every day. So to address this issue, I met a hair specialist who advised me to take hair therapy for three months.

Moreover, the doctor categorically told me to refrain from skipping even a single therapy for three months. I began the therapy process with a lot of excitement in October last year. I had to meet the doctor every fortnight.

What happened when you missed it?

Despite having a busy schedule, I never missed any appointments for two months. To my dismay, in December, when the complete therapy process was at its fag end, and the last appointment was due, I missed it because of my hectic schedule.

The prominent reason for forgetting was the boatload of work I had to do during that time. I got a call from the doctor’s clinic the next day, and the concerned person told me that the whole process would restart from scratch.

I not only wanted my quality time but also had to pay again to restart the process. So missing the appointment was a colossal mistake on my side.
