Introduction

It is a gospel truth that deforestation leads to disastrous repercussions on Earth. Day by day, we are reducing the number of trees due to crass commercialization.

In such a scenario, those who plant trees without vested interests are a blessing to our society. I know one such person who shouldered the responsibility of planting trees rapidly to promote afforestation.

Who is this person? And How do you know this person?

The name of this person is Dr Rimple Sharma. She is an altruist and philanthropist. I meet her at one of her campaigns for growing trees. On our first meeting, I became a big fan of hers, and from that day, I have been working under her guidance.

What types of plants does she grow? 

Although she grows all types of plants, her central focus is on those with medicinal properties. Due to this reason, where she goes, she grows holy basil and gooseberry plants.

There is no denying this conviction that gooseberry contains a lot of vitamin c, which helps us build immunity; this plant is her favourite.

Why does she grow plants?

She grows plants because she believes cutting forests leads to disastrous aftermaths. Due to this reason, it is vital to plant trees so we can undo the environmental damage done to us.

Furthermore, she believes that planting trees is the most viable solution to handle the pressing problems related to the environment adroitly.

Due to this reason, she is working tirelessly with determination, dedication and discipline to plant trees in every nook and corner of this world.

Introduction.

Many people grow plants as a hobby and do it with a lot of passion and interest. It is usually said that those who take good care of plants are good at managing anything. People to whom planting trees appeals are nature lovers, encouraging us to plant more trees and make the planet earth worth living. 

There is no denying this conviction that we are encountering extreme weather conditions and greenhouse gases that harm flora and fauna with growing contamination and deforestation. 

Who the person is.

The person who is a staunch supporter of growing trees is my grandmother.

How do you know the person?

I have spent a sizeable part of my childhood in her aegis, and she appeals to me a lot. She stays in the countryside and manages farms and domestic animals. My grandparent’s primary work is farming and animal husbandry. So during school, I visited my grandparents every weekend and on other holidays.

What types of plants does she grow?

My grandfather’s life pivots around agricultural business; however, my grandmother is a big supporter of growing flowers and vegetables. In the backyard of her residence, she has planted numerous flowers and small plants such as basil and rose, and on the farm, she plants assorted vegetables. And she leaves no stone unturned to provide the best care for whatever she grows.

Whenever I visit my village, I visit my farms with her regularly, and she provides me with organic fruits to eat, which improve my digestion and make me feel fresh. I admire guavas and papayas from my farm. We never purchase vegetables from the market; my grandfather has this habit of coming to our house on weekends with fresh fruits and vegetables.

Why does she grow plants?

Numerous people love to grow plants and vegetables in the hinterlands because they are nature lovers and have immense knowledge of planting and gardens. The village land is conducive to farming because of its high fertility. My grandmother performs religious activities daily, and she is regular with her prayers; she utilizes fresh flowers from our garden to seek blessings from the almighty. So my grandma is the person with growing plants as her passion.
