Describe a person who is good at making people feel welcome in his/her home

You should say:

  • Who this person is
  • How you knew him/her
  • How he/she makes you feel welcome
  • And explain how you feel about this person.

Sample 1

Being a social butterfly, I meet a lot of people. I especially love to meet those who always have a broad smile on their faces and who greet their dear and dear ones beautifully.

Today, I would like to talk about someone extremely good at making people feel good by uniquely welcoming them. This person is Andrew, my bosom friend, and we have known each other for the last 20 years.

We started in school together, then in college, and now we work in different fields, but we still meet regularly. He makes me feel welcome every time I go to his place by cooking different mouthwatering delicacies.

He knows my taste because he is my all-weather friend and every time, he tries to do things beyond the conventional domain to serve me food items that could pamper my appetite and exercise my taste buds.

I feel perfect about this person because, in this modern era where fierce competition has become integral to our lives, most people do not have time to make people feel unique.

And ideally, he does this with me. He does it with all of his friends. He makes them feel special, and due to this habit, I wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

Sample 2

Although I know many people who have this habit of welcoming people when someone visits their home, one person is special, and that’s why he’s worth discussing.

I have known my friend Abhinav Anand for five years because we worked together on the same profile in a company, sat at the same desk, and he was my counterpart. He makes me feel welcome whenever someone visits his house; he arranges karaoke for that person.

So whenever someone visits his place, it is an event. He starts with karaoke, where he makes the guests sing his favourite songs with background music, and apart from that, he indulges in other activities.

Whenever someone visits his house, he never cooks any food in advance. So, he includes the guests in the cooking process. So he has a big lot in the house because of a barbecue. So he, along with the guests, does all the activities himself to cook mouthwatering delicacies, and due to that, the guests also feel connected.

They consider his home as their home, and this thing has worked like a charm for hiM because, due to this, his social circle has widened a lot. I keep on waiting for the invitation from his side because visiting his place is always a good moment for me because I get positive vibes.

I feel very good about this person because, in this era where most people remain busy with their work, he does things beyond the conventional domain, gives time to people, and makes others feel special. That is why I have a special place in my heart.

Sample 3

Although I know many people who are good at welcoming guests to their homes, one of them is exceptional. And hence, he’s worth discussing. This person’s name is Gordon. And I have known him for the last five years because we were together on the train during one of the journeys.

And there, we realized that we share common interests. And that is how we became good friends. And his style of welcoming people to his home is quite different. He is an outstanding artist. So when he invites you to your home, he serves you delicious food.

After that, he makes you sit in his library. And over there, he creates your caricature with a pencil, which takes three to four hours. But he does it with precision. He’s a great artist. And he usually charges about $500 for preparing a caricature. But he always does it for his near and dear ones for free. And it is different than that he does it once.

Whenever you visit his house, he does it. And that is what I like about him
because he makes people feel special. In this modern era, where people have less time at their disposal and most people leave no stone unturned to strengthen their bottom line, Gordon is a person who thinks beyond the conventional domain. That is why I call him a philanthropist.

He loves people. And he exhibits his people-loving attribute by making their caricatures. I feel perfect about him, and a friend like him is difficult to find. And I challenge that no other person like him in this world does such a good service for his near and dear ones.

Sample 4

A person who is good at making people feel welcome is my friend Ramesh. I have known him for ten years because we studied in school together, and from those days, he has had this habit of treating people like kings whenever they come to his place.

He has a very special way of welcoming people. Every month, he organizes a party at his home, and he never accepts any gifts, so whoever comes to the party cooks dinner according to that person’s choice.

Due to that, he has a very good social circle and organizes parties at every festival. He has created such an environment in our friend circle that every month, there are 2 or 3 occasions when we meet. His party is different; in his party, the guests also participate, they cook various dishes, and sometimes he organizes potluck parties in which every guest brings one dish from their home to eat.

This way, there is not much burden on the host, and guests also feel good. Because of him, my friend circle has also widened, and I feel very good about this person because, under his influence, I have become a socially good person. I have even started gaining happiness in providing support to other people, so I am a person who welcomes others with a broad smile on his face, and I want to be like him.
