Introduction

It is intuitively true that time is our most important asset. Using it effectively, we can lead our lives toward an impressive growth trajectory. On the other hand, mismanagement of this precious resource puts our life on a lean patch.

As a person, I pay colossal significance to the time at my disposal. To manage it effectively, I follow a technique.

What is it?

It is the Eisenhower time matrix. The 34th president of The United States, Mr Dwight D. Eisenhower, designed it. By following the principles given in this technique, I divide my tasks into two parts essential and nonsignificant.

The essential tasks are further classified into urgent and not urgent. I complete the urgent tasks at the start of the day and then focus on the non-urgent ones.

Moreover, for those non-important tasks which do not require my involvement, I delegate them to others.

Lastly, the tasks which do not add enough value and distract me from my target, I delete from my list.

When do you usually do it?

Every evening I make a list to start the next day with planning and enthusiasm.

Why do you do it?

I do it because it helps me do my tasks with determination, dedication, and discipline. After following this technique, I have experienced a paradigm shift in my performance.

And explain why you think it saves your time.

It saves my time because it clarifies what iI need to do for effective management.

Without it, I feel like a rudderless ship that is always at the mercy of the wind to reach its destination

Introduction

There is no denying this conviction that time is a vital resource, and we must leave no stone unturned to use it prudently. Those who have realized its significance adopt various techniques to use it effectively.

What is it?

I also follow a technique to save time: “early to bed and early to rise”.

Why do you do it?

I do it because, in this modern era, we have plenty of things that distract us and take us towards instant gratification. Social media is the prime example; people waste a sizeable part of their productive hours on applications like Instagram, Youtube, Whatsapp, Facebook, etc.

And in such a case, following a process to save precious time is the need of the hour. That is why I follow the technique of early to bed and early to rise to use the time I have effectively.

When do you usually do it?

I do it every day because it has become an integral part of my routine. Every day I get up at 4 am, and at night, I hit the sack at 9 pm.

And explain why you think it saves your time.

It is a gospel truth that our efficiency at work depends on the willpower at our disposal. Another notable fact is that, like time, willpower also is a limited source.

Every day we have a limited willpower limit, and when we exhaust it, we do not have the urge to work more, and due to that, we waste a boatload of time.

Our willpower is at its peak in the morning, and it diminishes with time. Therefore starting early every day works like a charm for me. Before other people get up, I finish most of my work, and by the time the willpower declines, I complete the significant tasks, and wherever pending work I have, I delegate that.

This technique’s best benefit is that it empowers you to do your work in your productive hours and saves a boatload of your time by making you more efficient.

Conclusion:

This technique has done wonders for me because it has led my life towards an impressive growth trajectory.

Introduction

It is a gospel truth that time is our most valuable asset, and we must strive hard to utilize it effectively.

For two years I have been using a principle that helps me save time.

What is it?

I follow the principle of “A place for everything and everything in its place”.

When do you usually do it?

This principle has become an integral part of my life, and I do it every day in most aspects of my life.

Why do you do it?

I do it because there is no denying this conviction that we waste a lot of time finding things. By dedicating a place, we can comfortably locate them in case of need.

And explain why you think it saves your time.?

It saves my time because I used to waste a boatload of time searching for the essentials like my books, spectacles, stapler and other items.

And many times, I would end up not finding them at the time of need. For example, due to the corona pandemic, there was a lockdown in my city. To see the doctor, I arranged a pass, but mistakenly, I forgot where I kept it, I had to meet my dentist for a dental check-up, but I couldn’t find it.

However, now the scenario is entirely different, and I know the exact location of the essentials. Due to this paradigm shift, I do not waste time, and my output has increased considerably. Moreover, the time saved through this habit has helped me learn new skills.

In nutshell, working on this principle has led me toward an impressive growth trajectory.
