In such a scenario spending quality time in the arms of nature makes you feel relaxed. My relationship with the lake has grown appreciably.

Whenever I feel jaded, I visit Sukhna Lake to bring enthusiasm back into my life. All my worries go for a toss when I sit near it.

Apart from this, Sukhna Lake has helped me widen my social circle. Being a regular visitor, I meet my old friends and new people. Many of my friends are those I met for the first time at the lake.

It impresses me much because for umpteen reasons. First of all, it provides drinking water to billions of people. It passes through numerous states and quenches the thirst of a sizeable part of the population. Furthermore, a large part of the Indian population considers its water divine.

Apart from this, it helps the farmers in irrigation. The agriculturists of many states thrive primarily on the Ganges to water their fields. This river is imperative to strengthen the economy of our nation, which pivots around agriculture. And in case of uneven monsoon, this water body is the only option for farmers to survive.

Thirdly, this river is a worship place of the Hindu religion in India. The last rites of any deceased persons are incomplete without the immersion of the ashes in the Ganges.

Moreover, on the banks of this river, I find eternal peace and happiness. My time passes quicker, and all my worries go for a toss.
