Introduction

Being an altruist, I always go beyond the conventional domain to solve the pressing problems of society. Recently I participated in a worthwhile activity for which I received positive feedback from my neighbourhood.

What did you do?

I live in a post township that has carved a niche for its infrastructure: However, a pond adjoining our group housing had foul-smelling water inside.

We contacted the higher authorities umpteen times to clean the pond with no success. As the smell was unbearable, I decided to clean it.

I researched the internet and found an NGO whose volunteers were ready to provide me with unabated support to filter the pond. We hired the necessary equipment, and with the help of volunteers, we cleaned the pond in six hours.

Initially, the task seemed challenging because the pond had a lot of polythenes inside. We pumped out the water and cleaned the pool by removing all the waste.

The determination. dedication, and discipline of the team helped me to complete the task in a short time.

When was it?

I did the cleaning activity at the beginning of this year.

Why do you get positive feedback?

I got positive feedback because I solved a pressing problem adroitly. The people of my neighbourhood were living in a filthy environment, and dengue cases were on an incline.

My initiative created a neat and clean environment inside the township. The doctor’s visits decreased, and our neighbourhood became a worth living place.

The appreciation I received from my neighbourhood would always remain etched in my memories.

Introduction

Being an altruist, I have done numerous works to help others. In recent times I did an activity for which I got positive feedback.

What did you do?, and When was it?

In 2020, there was a lockdown worldwide, and due to that, people had to remain indoors. The children were the worst sufferers because by not going to school their development halted.

To address the issue, I started providing free mathematics classes to my neighbourhood kids. Initially, there were a handful of students, but with time the class size grew exponentially, and I had to take the classes in the park.

Why did you get positive feedback?

I got positive feedback because, under my aegis, the kids’ performance improved considerably. I tried many things which were beyond the conventional domain.

To foster the calculation skill of students, I taught abacus. Initially, it was a daunting task for the kids. However, with time they became experts and did tough calculations adroitly.

Moreover, for simplifying the tough formulas, I used the techniques of Vedic mathematics.

In nutshell, my teaching worked like a charm for the children, and their knowledge grew considerably.

When the course finished, the whole township gave a round of applause in my honour. The kids gave a stunning dance performance and dedicated it to me.

How did you feel about it?

That day I was on cloud nine because the work I did with determination, dedication, and discipline bore fruits. Moreover, I felt relaxed because my initiative was successful, and the children were happy.

The quality time spent in coaching would always remain etched in my memories.
