Introduction
Although many business people have carved a niche for themself by going beyond the conventional domain, there is a businessman whom I admire the most.
Who his person is;
The name of this person is Mr Mukesh Ambani. He is the chairman of Reliance Industries Limited.
How do you know this person?
I came to know about him when he had created a revolution in the Indian telecom industry by launching Jio telecom.
What kind of business this person does?
Initially, his business was mainly of oil products. Later on, he forayed into the textile business. And currently, his organisation deals in more than 100 businesses.
Why do you admire this person?
I admire this person for the reason that his organisation works for the benefit of the masses.
Before he forayed entry into the Indian telecom business, the mobile phone internet used to be a luxury. The average data cost was exorbitantly high. Due to this reason, a large section of society remained deprived of the facility of mobile phone internet.
However, Jio’s entry led to a paradigm shift in the working of the telecom sector. For the first six months, he made mobile internet free for everyone. This smart initiative of his forced his competitor’s to follow in his footsteps.
Moreover, his plan of offering internet in remote areas worked like a charm for my country. Now people sitting in the isolated regions also remain connected with the rest of the world.
His brave efforts have prevented our nation from the economic slowdown because the seamless internet connectivity allowed people to work from home during the lockdown made a significant impact on the lives of all Indians.
