Sample Answer 1

Introduction

It is a gospel truth that god has created this planet earth for all living beings, and humans should not take undue advantage of its status by harming animals and plants.

Being a nature lover, I have this habit of providing unabated animal support whenever needed. Recently I had such an occasion which is worth mentioning.

When and where did you provide support?

Last month I was going back to my home after attending a late night party. Since there was insufficient traffic on the roads, most vehicles moved quickly.

When I was about to reach home, I saw a car moving at a breathtaking speed hit a stray dog. The dog fell on the road, and its condition was abysmal.

What support did you provide?

Being an animal lover, I immediately rushed to the spot and called the helpline for stray dogs. Within a few minutes, a medical van came with a veterinary doctor, and they provided immediate support to save the life.

Afterwards, they took the dog to their hospital and did the bandage.

To provide extra care, I paid for the special diet of that stray animal, and with the unstinted support of the medical team, it recovered in 10 days.

How did you feel about it?

I felt good about myself because I have always considered it my duty to help all living beings, including animals. And by saving the life of a stray dog, I set a good precedent for others. Moreover, my initiative encouraged my near and dear ones to follow in my footsteps.

Follow up Questions

Here are some examples of follow-up questions that the examiner might ask during your speaking part 3 related to the cue card “Describe a time when you provided support to an animal”.

Q1.Are you happy with the fate of animals in modern society?

It is a gospel truth that the planet earth is for all living beings, and we have left no stone unturned to use innocent animals for our vested interests. We have wiped out many species, and many left ones are on the verge of extinction.

Moreover, few animals have to live in abysmal conditions to pamper the appetite of humans. So, in a nutshell, barring a few animals like dogs and horses, others get unfair treatment.

Q2.How can we improve the condition of animals?

To improve the condition of animals, all sections of society need to work collaboratively. It is the bounden duty of the government to frame stringent yardsticks to prevent the abuse of animals. Likewise, the people must provide unabated support to the higher authorities by strictly adhering to the rules and regulations prescribed by the government.

Q3.How do you take care of birds and animals around you?

I always keep a bowl filled with water on my terrace to quench the thirst of the birds. Apart from this, donate money every month to a charitable institution that provides unstinted support to the animals.
