Introduction

There is no denying this conviction that the evolution of science as a subject has brought a paradigm shift on planet Earth and due to this, many innovations have taken place in the last 100 years.

Although I have attended numerous science classes, one of them is worth-mentioning

When was it? And Where was it?

It was an online class, and I attended it last month from the comfort of my home.

What was taught in the class?

The class was about space exploration. The teacher first taught us the difference between planets, stars and satellites. Then he told us about various human-crewed and uncrewed missions which have gone to space.

Then he made us aware of the need for space exploration. According to him, we are misusing the resources on Planet Earth. The day is not far away when we will need more food, water and other natural resources to live a worthwhile life.

According to him, all nations should work in tandem to create life on other planets in case of a problem on Earth; we can continue life by shifting to another place in space.

Why did you like it?

I liked the class because it opened my eyes. Earlier I believed that spending money on space research is an imprudent approach because there are many problems on our planet that need to be addressed first. But my viewpoint changed, and now I am a staunch supporter of space exploration.

1. Is Space exploration a challenging task?

Yes, space exportation is a challenging task because it requires massive expenses. To make it fruitful, sending spacecraft expertise to many people is needed.

Apart from this, we have little knowledge of space and moving further can lead to adverse complications for the astronauts.

2. Are there any plans to colonize Mars?

Yes, the plan to colonize Mars is on the cards. A private organization named Space X, funded by the corporate stalwart Mr Elon Musk is leaving no stone unturned to create favourable conditions on The Red Planet.

3. Is the life of an astronaut easy?

The life of astronauts is challenging because they must adapt to the alien environment. Moreover, they have to encounter numerous restrictions while staying in space.

4. Should space exploration be a mandatory subject in schools?

I do not think so because already the students are overburdened with numerous subjects, and more, in addition, could jeopardize their physical and mental fitness. Hence, only those who have an immense interest in it should study it, and it needs to be an additional subject.
