Introduction
- Being a voracious traveller, I have opted for a travelling job.
- I love going to various places for work there is one place which is at a short distance
- But I do not like going there.

- Every Friday I have to visit the Industrial Area for an official meeting.
- This place is at a distance of 40 kilometres from my residence.
- My company has an industrial unit over there.
Explain why you do not like this trip?
- I dislike it because the journey has all kinds of pollution like air, water and sound pollution.
- At the entry point, there are heaps of garbage.
- Numerous heavy vehicles ply on the roads, and most of them throw poisonous gases in the air through their exhaust pipes.
- Moreover, there are a lot of chimneys of various industries which also exhaust dangerous fumes directly into the atmosphere.
- The middle of the industrial zone consists of a water body covered with stagnant pools of filth.
- Apart from this, there is no worthwhile place to have food.
- I usually end up having my lunch in my car itself.
- Also, traffic jams are a regular feature of this journey.
- Being a hard-working person, I treat time as a most valuable resource.
- However, during this journey, I usually waste 2-3 hours in commuting.
- Whenever I come back from this trip, I experience cough coupled with a severe headache.
- Because of this trip, I have started experiencing shortness of breath.

1. Do Indian people like to travel abroad?
In the last few decades, there is a paradigm shift in the travelling habits of the people of my country. Earlier they used to travel within the country, however these days a large section of society likes to travel abroad. The destinations they prefer for tourism are Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
2. How much time do you think people should spend on a trip abroad?
That depends on the purpose of your trip and how many places worth visiting you have at your disposal.
3. Who prefers travelling abroad, the young or the old?
Although old people also love travelling abroad, youngsters are crazier for this. They find extreme pleasure in posting pictures of their overseas trips on social media.
4. Which is better for knowing more about a country travelling or reading books about it?
There is no denying this conviction that we gain tremendous knowledge by reading books. However, if we want detailed knowledge of a place, we must visit that place. Because when we travel to a place, we come to know the people, culture, cuisines and lifestyle of that place.
