The system used for rubbish/garbage collection in your local area is not working properly. This is causing problems for you and your neighbours. Write a letter to the local council. In your letter describe how the rubbish collection system is not working correctly explain how this is affecting you and your neighbours suggest what should be done about the problem.

Sample Answer

Dear Mr Paul,

For the last few weeks, the area where I have lived, 80 Avenue 140 Street, has encountered a major issue caused by the garbage collection team. Most bins are not kept in proper places after collection, which causes hurdles for ongoing vehicles on our road. All the members of the local area face huge problems because of all these things.

It makes our place disorganized as the workers ignore what they are doing. Whenever garbage trucks come in weekly, they mostly create a filthy environment by not picking up all our garbage from the pickup place. Most of them miss one or two weeks’ pickup, which creates enormous garbage dumps almost in front of the house. They are inviting different harmful bacteria, flies and mosquitoes into our area.

Please take stringent action against it and ask some of your company’s officials to check the situation in our area. The possible course of action you can take is to either replace the old staff or conduct an in-person, timely inspection. I believe in you that you will do justice for all of us.
