How is it done?

Why do you think it is difficult?

In the modern era, water sports are gaining momentum. The prominent reason for this massive surge is globalization and ease of travel. It is manageable for a person staying in the hills to visit beaches. However, spending holidays has become a part of every culture now.

Being a sports enthusiast, I have enjoyed numerous water sports; there is one that I am afraid of.

What is it?

In parasailing sport, the participant or participants are towed for the aerial route via a vehicle attached to a device like a parachute, which creates an air bubble to catch the wind like a kite and flows the participants into the air.

How is it done?

Usually, parasailing takes place over water, requiring a large speedboat to provide propulsion; however, the organizers use cars and trucks to perform it over the road. The equipment includes a harness attached to the parasail, which joins the anchor boat through a tow rope. Usually, parasailing has one or two parasailers. However, the number can go up to three on some occasions.

Why do you think it is difficult?

It is challenging because the boat which tows your moves at high speed, and you need to run with it, and after that, at the drop of a hat, it takes you in the air, and you get the experience of flying.

Moving from a water body to an air seems scary, so I am reluctant to do it. I have tried to do it on many occasions, but I backed out at the last moment.
