You have just read an article in an international travel magazine which contained some information about your town that is incorrect.
Write a letter to the editor of the magazine. In your letter-
• Correct the information in the article.
• Explain why it is important for the magazine to give correct information.
• Suggest what the magazine should do about this situation.
Dear Mr Kevin,
Being an ardent reader and a budding writer, I regularly read your content be it from your blog or from magazines, and I always seek flashes of inspiration from your work. The purpose of my letter is to inform you about the misinformation printed about my town Patiala in one of the articles in your magazine The World Explorers.
The 11th edition of this magazine, released August 28, 2020, mentioned that there are no colleges in my town, and students travel to the nearby city Chandigarh for University Education. However, recently, my city is blessed with two new colleges that were inaugurated by the Mayor of the town, for Arts and Commerce students.
It is imperative to correct this information because your magazine has worldwide readers, and many foreign travellers visit the places mentioned in it. I would suggest you verify the details I am providing you and publish them in your next edition. The names of the two colleges are as follows- Patiala’s College of Arts and Oxford College of Commerce, located in the Central Area of the town.
