Education is a crucial part of life. Many individuals opine that university education aids educators in finding better jobs. In contrast, others opine that tertiary education has numerous benefits for society and individuals. After considering its advantages to society and the individual, I strongly advocate the latter view. However, this essay will discuss both views.

A section of society believes that education from a well-recognized university is necessary to acquire a higher-class job with a handsome salary package. The learners spend their time in college adapting and learning skills they could utilize in their jobs or businesses. It is unequivocal to say that university education provides a key to success to their students. Therefore, pursuing tertiary education is prudent because it will grow your career by providing you with immense knowledge. For example, the University of Toronto has corporate links with multinational companies, and after graduation, they conduct interviews within the colleges. They aim to help degree holders to get jobs.

On the contrary, other people state that although higher learning benefits finding a good job, it has many other advantages. University inculcates moral values in the students. Moreover, students learn professional and communication expertise by honing their skill sets, which are important for holistic development. Besides, colleges play a vital role in economic development as they employ people from all walks of life. For example, after the arrival of private universities in India, teachers from all sections of society got employment.

To conclude, it is commonly believed that university is only helpful in the job sector. However, it provides many benefits, more than just studying, which must be addressed.

In contrast, others believe that a university education has many benefits for both individuals and society.  A university education has a wider range of benefits for individuals and society as it helps achieve holistic development throughout college life.

To begin with, while considering the benefits of university education, the following points can be acknowledged. First and foremost, university education depends on an individual’s thinking and wants because if a student is interested in business, they enrol in business study programs, which will help them. University education benefits job seekers as it helps them to achieve a well-setted life. Its primary purpose is that it leads to the holistic development of the students, which helps them to lead their lives toward an impressive growth trajectory.  A survey conducted by NCERT in Delhi in 2021  concluded that 98% of students achieve jobs or carry businesses after graduating from university.

On the contrary, other groups of individuals believe that university education has wider benefits for both individuals and society as it enables a student to interact with other people.
