Not all drivers obey the laws while driving on roads. What are the reasons for this? What can be done to resolve this problem?
Sample Answer
As far as laws while driving on roads are concerned, not all drivers adhere to them. The essay will suggest that the principal cause of this issue is the lack of stringent rules and regulations and submit strict government policies as a viable solution.
The main reason is that the traffic laws have been in place for years: however, their implementation is not as per the requirements. There is no denying this conviction that those drivers who break the rules do not get harsh punishment. Due to that, they become regular offenders and motivate others to behave like them. And when they are caught, the system has many provisions for their safe exit. Therefore, the lack of strict politics is a hurdle to ensuring adherence to traffic laws. New Delhi is the prime example, where a small percentage of traffic lawbreakers pay a fine due to a lack of police personnel.
The most viable solution to this problem is the strict implementation of laws by the higher authorities. It is the bounden duty of the government to frame stringent rules and regulations to instil fear in the minds of offenders. Moreover, stern retribution would set the right precedent and act as a deterrent for those who tend to break traffic laws repeatedly. Hence, this prudent approach would decline traffic law violations substantially. For example, in Japan, traffic violations are minuscule because of the harsh punishment for wrongdoers.
To summarize, the issue of not obeying traffic laws by some citizens has been caused due to the easygoing attitude of the governments, and to curtail it, the higher authorities need to frame stringent rules and regulations.
