Q1. How do you celebrate New Year?
Being a social person, I celebrate New year with my family and friends. We organise a grand party and shake legs on our favourite tunes. Apart from this, we savour mouth-watering delicacies to pamper our appetite. And sometimes, we go for a long drive too.
Q2. Do you still remember a New Year that you celebrated?
I vividly remember when I was 18 years old, I celebrated the new year bash in Shimla. I went there with my college friends. We had a gala time together. A famous Punjabi singer called “Sidhu Moosewala” entertained the audience with his melodious music. The quality time spent over there would always remain etched in my memories.
Q3. Do you have any ceremonies to celebrate the New Year in your country?
In our nation, we do not have special ceremonies to celebrate the new year. Young people celebrate with their buddies, and most people prefer to enjoy themselves with their family members. In numerous parts of India New Year, dates thrive on the solar and lunar calendar, such as Baisakhi in Punjab, Pongal in Tamil Nadu.
Q4. Why do people think New Year is a new beginning?
People think New Year is a fresh start because they take it as an opportunity to bring a paradigm shift in their lives. They achieve this aim by engaging in new pursuits, and refraining from old unhealthy habits, and drafting new goals and resolutions.
