Topic # – Decoration

Q1. What is the decoration like in your home?

My home decor is a perfect amalgamation of culture and technology. I have left no stone unturned to get the feel of my culture and nature at my abode. On the other hand, I have used digital art prints and various other products to give my place a decent look.

Q2. What kind of decoration do you prefer?

I prefer decoration that is easy to maintain. In my country, there is a lot of dust, and due to this reason, I stay away from decorating with complicated designs because they are challenging to clean.

Hence I prefer to keep simple decor so that the home look spic and span every time, and I need not spend much time on maintenance.

Q3. Do Indian people like decorating their homes?

In India, people show immense bonding in their homes and due to this reason, they give their best to decorate their abode according to the latest trends.

Q4. What’s your favourite colour when decorating your home?

Being a nature lover, I prefer to use the natural colour blue for the decor of my home. For walls, I use sky blue colour, because it gives perfect lighting.

Q5.How important do you think decoration is in creating a pleasant living environment? 

In my opinion, decoration is vital because it not only enhances or demonstrates things but can also be used as a hobby, which gives satisfaction. 

Q6.What types of decorations are commonly used in homes in your country?

 Well, in my home country, most people love greenery. Hence, they decorate their houses with plants and flowers, especially lavender and roses. Apart from that, in my culture, people are often seen as very conscious about their religion. Therefore, they put various photos and decorations for spiritual or like purposes. Apart from that, they also create their houses with lights and other stuff to increase the beauty of their homes.

Q7.Do you prefer simple or complex decorations in your living space? 

Well, I don’t think so; it’s a matter. I  still like to. I prefer simple decorations like mild flowers and standard colours rather than vibrant and other kinds of decorations like lights and shiny things. 

Q8.How do decorations reflect the personality of the homeowner? 

Well, it dramatically impacts people’s minds whenever they see the beautification of houses, especially when it creates the taste of house owners. We can easily judge someone who loves greenery by seeing the plants and trees in their homes. 

Apart from that, some people like to put dark colours, dark themes, and shiny lights on them, showing how people love simple decoration. Apart from that, like a colourful house, it also shows that the people are very thoughtful, and he has a good choice of colours. 

Q9.What role do cultural traditions play in influencing decoration choices? 

The people who are too attached to their culture depict their culture in their decoration choices. For example, people in Punjab usually have decorations with farmers’ themes, and people in Rajasthan depict their folk dances and dresses through decoration.

Q10.How do you think modern technology has impacted how people decorate their homes? 

Well, there have been a lot of changes due to the advancement of technology. First, we can see that lights are a primary example of technology. Apart from that, we now have sound systems that enhance the house’s beauty, such as operating lights and other gadgets with the help of our voice.

There are also laser lights, which appear on covers and can be put on your houses instead of lights, which is a good idea for being beautiful. We can decorate your home.

 Q11.Do you believe decorating for special occasions such as holidays or celebrations is essential? 

Yes, in my culture, it is trendy because people love decorating their houses on special occasions, for example, occasions like weddings and birthday parties. People often like to decorate their houses to show their celebration.

Apart from that, there are various festivals like Eid and Diwali where people can be seen decorating their houses. It’s like a tradition in our culture; people try to compete to decorate their houses. The more decorated houses can decorate houses can show the enthusiasm and eager interest of people towards their culture and the festival. 

Q12.What advice would you give someone wanting to decorate their home on a tight budget? 

If you prefer a tight budget, we should plant trees or flowers. In my opinion, it’s a one-time investment, and they need only water and the quality of sunlight. It’s a good idea to decorate their houses without paying any further. So, I recommend that people plant trees and colourful flower plants to see if they care about their budget when decorating their homes. 

Q13.How do you think people’s attitudes towards decoration have changed over the years?

Over the years, as I see it, people have become more interested in showing their interest in modern technology. People love to put the nameplates on digital nameplates in their houses to show their names. Apart from that, as I said, people usually use convenient solar lights that do not harm their pockets. And apart from that, people also love to build good houses, like they put the scenery in front of their homes to enhance their beauty.
