Introduction

There is no denying the fact that teachers play a pivotal role in our lives. They are the ones who provide us with unabated support to lead our lives towards an impressive growth trajectory.

Being an obedient student, I have had good experiences with my teachers. However, I had a bad experience with my educator on one occasion.

Who is she? and When was it?

Two years back, there was a lockdown in my nation due to the corona pandemic and being a student, I stayed at home for six months.

During that time, I decided to enhance my communication skills by joining an online class, and after researching the internet, I finalised one teacher. The educator had a good presence on social media, with more than 10,000 followers.

As per the terms and conditions of the teacher, I made the full payment in advance. Furthermore, I told her categorically that I needed daily speaking practice to hone my skills, and she promised me a one-hour session daily where she would conduct group discussions.

However, the teacher didn’t fulfil her promise. Rather than focusing on speaking practice, her central focus was on teaching grammar. As I was unhappy with her teaching style, I complained, but she didn’t heed my request.

I told her to refund the money charged, but she told me bluntly that she would not return the fees. After that, I wrote a lousy review of her services on various social media platforms, and this initiative worked like a charm for me, and she called me to apologise. After that, she refunded the payment without any deductions.
