1. Do you like flowers? (Why?)
Flowers appeal to me for two reasons. Firstly they enhance the scenic beauty with their divergent colours. There is no denying this conviction that flowers make a place look vibrant. Secondly, the presence of flowers makes us feel close to mother nature.
2 Which/What is your favourite flower?
As far as flowers are concerned, a red rose appeals to me the most. It is a must-have during religious ceremonies in our culture. Apart from this, it is used to show your love and affection for others.
3 Do you think flowers are important?
Flowers are an integral part of our system. They make our life more colourful.
4 Are flowers important in your culture? (Give examples)
Yes, flowers are highly imperative in our culture. Whenever we seek the blessings of the almighty, we use marigold flowers. Apart from this, for showing love and affection, we use a red rose. And white lotus is considered a symbol of peace in our culture.
5 Do people in your country ever use flowers for special occasions?
In celebrations such as birthday parties, wedding ceremonies and other functions, people use flowers for decoration.
6 What are the occasions when people give or receive flowers?
A bunch of peonies is used as a gift for numerous occasions. For instance, at birthday parties, wedding celebrations, or Valentine’s day, people give or receive flowers.
7 In your country, do people (ever) give flowers as a gift?
Yes, but on a few occasions only. Those occasions are birthday parties and wedding celebrations.
8 When was the last time you gave flowers to someone?
Last week one of my bosom friends came to meet me after a very long time. To make him feel special, I gave him a bunch of peonies while receiving him at the airport.
