I have spent Most of my life in the countryside’s clean and pristine environment, so I dislike noisy places. However, recently, I went to a loud place worth mentioning. This place is an industrial area, and the name of the place is Baddi; it falls under the state of Himachal Pradesh, India, so I am there too. I went there to attend an interview with a lot of industries.

After graduation, I was free, so I went there to participate in an interview at a company. I feel it’s a noisy place for many reasons. First of all, a lot of vehicles are flying on the roads. They were two-wheelers and four-wheelers and big trucks with continuous honking noises. Due to that, there were a lot of unwanted voices.

The second reason is that many industries and machines operate in that area. They were also producing noise, and the main reason for the big noise was that the sectors there were not working as per the government guidelines. So, even for generators, generators were not as silent; most chimneys were age-old, and machinery was also quite old.

Due to that, there was a lot of noise, and I felt terrible because the place was full of air, water, and sound pollution. So even though I got selected by that company, I didn’t take that job offer because it wasn’t for me. My health is essential, and spending time at such an easy place was daunting.

1. When do you think it is good for children to make noise?

It is not good for children to make noise because they tend to miss a good thing in a noisy environment. By being loud, they learn bad habits, which, when they grow old, are difficult to break, so whether children or youngsters, they should shy away from creating a noisy environment and remain peaceful.

2. Should children not be allowed to make noise under any circumstances?

No, that is not the case on some occasions when it is about a celebration. There shouldn’t be any cap on making invoices, and then the children can express their feelings, but when doing serious work like giving a presentation, studying, or playing sports, they should not make noise. During the celebration, it’s okay to make a noise.

3. What kind of noises are in our lives today?

Our lives are full of noise pollution. Firstly, the noise of loudspeakers and apart from that, there are numerous vehicles which run on the roads and produce a lot of noise. Apart from this, there is noise from air conditioners and power generators. Lastly, people organise many parties to play loud music, creating a noisy environment.

4. Which area is more exposed to noise than the city or the countryside?

The cities are more exposed to noise. At the same time, the countryside has a city environment. You have various clubs and parties in cities, so loud music is being played. Apart from that, the number of vehicles which run on the roads is relatively high in the city, like in the computer countryside. Many industries are in the town, so the city has a noisier environment than the villages.

5. How would people usually respond to noises in your country?

In my country, people do not take noise seriously because it has become an integral part of their lives; despite many rules and regulations against making noise, people do not pay heed to them, so it has become part and parcel of our lives.

6. How can people consider others’ feelings when chatting in public?

When chatting in public, we should be aware enough of other people’s feelings, and we should not increase our voice to such a level that other people feel irritated, because public places are for everyone. We do not have the right to disturb the lives of others.
