Describe an interesting tradition in your country.
You should say:
-What is it?
– Who takes part in it?
– What activities are there?
– And explain how you feel about it?
India is a country with a diverse culture. There are a plethora of traditions people follow, and these practices vary from region to region.
However, one tradition is uniform across the nation. It is the removal of shoes before getting in the temples. The foremost reason behind following this custom is that shoes carry dust from the road, hence removing the boots before entering a sacred place like a temple benefits to maintain the purity.
I consider this system as a mark of respect to the temple and regard with high esteem its freshness and purity.
All devotees adhere to this exercise before admitting the temple, and this ritual is in use for ages. There is a dedicated zone outside the temple for parking the slippers. Incertain temples many believers do voluntary service of managing the pumps of other devotees systematically, especially during festivals.
I feel positive whenever I pursue this habit because as per our religious texts, “Cleanliness is next to godliness”. Apart from this, it encourages us to keep the temple space neat and clean and saves a lot of time and energy of the volunteers who shoulder the responsibility of keeping the temple in a perfect shape.Since temple is a place where individuals come with a positive attitude, cleanliness helps to create positive vibes.
