Sample 1

As we enter the future, the world will introduce many features and modern faculties to our society. And there are a lot of things which I do not like.

But I like it. Here I want to talk about a modern aspect that I don’t like. It’s social media, explicitly posting everything on social media.

Many people like to post everything on social media, which can be dangerous, like someone who can steal their information. Social media is suitable for people because they can get news, and we can see anything on social media that will increase our knowledge and allow us to chat with our society.

But posting everything on social media, like their personal information, photos, and thoughts, would be a little individual and can be misused by the wrong hands.

It is happening because as people are now becoming modern and like to, they think that showing their things would increase their standards, but it is not. It’s just a misconception of them.

Why I wouldn’t say I like this because people like they have their sensitive information, and a lot of things already happened, like the 9/11 attacks and the New York terrorist attacks and some hijacks and some murderers and all.

All these have happened because people post about themselves on social media, like where they are and what they are doing, which makes it relatively easy for their enemies to track them. Also, people are getting distracted by their role models. If a person like a celebrity puts things which he buys, then their fans would like to purchase the same.

It doesn’t matter how costly it is; it’s unnecessary. All these features of social media make it very dangerous for society, and the ripple effects could be more severe if it continues to do so. So, for that reason, I wouldn’t say I like social media.

Sample 2

Modern society brings many benefits to humanity, and it’s continuing to do so; there are a lot of aspects that are fruitful for humans, and here I would like to talk about one aspect that I  think is the cause of concern.

It is social media addiction because we have a variety of technological gadgets that foster social media addiction, especially in the younger generation. There are a lot of social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat. They are becoming an integral part of many individuals, and they often use them excessively. It is happening because of various factors.

Firstly, they are designed to be addictive because we get notifications like dislikes and comments and share reels and videos that trigger our minds and create a sense of pleasure.

The widespread availability of smartphones and internet connectivity has made them handy and easier to access. For that reason, I think it’s a concern as many individuals, particularly the young, spend countless amounts of their time scrolling through Instagram. It hinders their holistic development. And apart from that, it has detrimental effects on our physical life and mental health. Apart from that, it is also a stumbling block for our productivity and social interaction. So, by counting all these factors, I think it’s the only aspect  I  dislike.

Follow-ups

What are some of the most significant changes you have observed in modern society compared to previous generations?

The significant change I see in modern society is in technology. As we all know, in the past, we didn’t have as many features of technology as we have now, like the modern phones and the vast features in technology, computers and all, and now we have driverless cars. Driverless cars have all these features in contemporary society.

How has technology influenced various aspects of modern society, such as communication, work, and education?

In modern society, communication is becoming more accessible and convenient. We have mobile phones, and we can contact anyone worldwide. In the workplace, many things are now introducing robotics in the factories and some AI tools, which make a workload easier and reduce workload and education.

We now have a lot of things like Google and YouTube by which learning is becoming more accessible and handy. We can learn anything at any time and anywhere. So, I see all these changes in modern society.

In what ways do you think globalization has impacted modern society?

As globalization is growing, I think commercialization has a specific effect on the environment, and globalization, I believe, leads to racism. Many people don’t want people in their society, so they are treated like trash by other people, especially black ones so I think that’s the only drawback of globalization.

What are some of the biggest challenges facing modern society today, and how can they be addressed?

Firstly, the vast majority of people drastically use technology. They spend 6 to 7 hours on mobile phones or computers daily, which is not good and needs to be stopped.

The government should put some stringent yardsticks in place to tackle this problem. There is no denying this conviction that technology has brought a lot of benefits to our society, but our people have not yet learned how to use it properly.

Do you believe that social media has positively or negatively impacted modern society?

Social media has both sides; like every coin, there are two sides. Social media brings people close to their surroundings. People can access every news, but on the other hand, there is a lot of wrong information, like misinformation, which can lead people to believe things that do not exist.

We usually receive text messages on the website regarding home remedies, which do not support this. There was an incident that happened in Bihar, like a person trying to cure his problem by making a home remedy that he read on WhatsApp, so he instantly died over there by consuming that home remedy.

What role does education play in preparing individuals for life in modern society?

Education plays a vital role in preparing individuals for life in modern society because education empowers them to have out-of-the-box thinking, helps them to accept the changes in society, and tells them what the future is like and what adjustments they need to make in a nutshell, education leads to holistic learning.
