Being a busy person, I do not get much time to watch or scroll social media. However, whenever I get time during weekends, I shell out 15 to 20 minutes to watch something interesting on social media. And last week, I got a chance to watch something which was amazing, interesting, and unusual. I saw a video of a 3D printer, and I was mesmerized after seeing it. Because in a normal printer, you have 2D printing. So you are printing a toy, so the front of the toy would come in the printout.

However, in 3D printing, it is totally different. The whole toy in plastic comes out in 3D form, and it was amazing. So this technology is new, but it is growing by leaps and bounds. Suppose you have a remote control at your home, and a part of a remote control, maybe the cover in which you put the batteries, that cover gets missing. So the exactly same cover you can print with a 3D printing machine.

And after that, I read about it, and I came to know that in the space exploration, 3D printing is used a lot. Those astronauts which are in the space station, if any part of the space station malfunctions, then what they do is they get the 3D design of that part from the Earth.

It is sent via satellite to the space station, and they have those 3D printers in the space station, quite big ones. And with the help of that, they print that part in 3D design and replace it. So it is an amazing technology, and now I have decided that I would buy a 3D printer for myself, so that I can experiment, I can boost my creativity.

So whatever hidden talent I have, there are some things which I want to do, but because I do not have machinery, I do not have a factory to produce, that is why I am unable to produce. So I will create wonderful designs and I will print them through 3D printing. So that was an unusual video which I watched on Instagram.

The biggest advantage of using social media is that you get connected with a lot of people and receive a lot of information with just a click of a button.

However, the major disadvantage of using social media is that it leads to time wastage. Secondly, it reduces crucial face-to-face interactions dramatically because, instead of visiting people, they prefer to connect with their near and dear ones through social media. As a result, they do not interact face to face.

In my opinion, making friends on social media is a prudent idea because these days, people have less time at their disposal to make friends by going to restaurants or clubs. So, social media is a wonderful way to make friends. But in my opinion, after making friends on social media, you should meet those friends face to face.
