Introduction

Being a social butterfly, I love interacting with all kinds of people. Although I have met numerous foreign persons in my life, one of them is unique and worth mentioning.

When and Where was it?

Two years back, the world went through tough times due to the corona pandemic. During that time, I stayed indoors for six months, and when the administration lifted the lockdown, I was in a state of euphoria. To celebrate my freedom, I went to the Manali hill station to spend a gala time with my friends.

While travelling on the bus, I met a foreign tourist and became good friends.

Why you talked to this tourist?

His name was Andrew, and he asked me for help; his mobile phone missed signals, and he wanted to use my phone to talk to his family members.

What you talked about?

As we both felt bored while travelling, it would be prudent to have a chit-chat to spend the travelling time productively. We started by sharing our hobbies and interests. During the discussion, Andrew told me that he is a voracious reader and starts and ends his day by reading something.

I asked about the best book he has read, and he told me that his all-time best is “Atomic Habits.”He told me that this book brought a paradigm shift in his life by moving his life toward the right trajectory.

After that, he shared the summary of books he had read, like “The Compound Effect” and “Sapiens.”

After reaching Manali, we parted ways, but we are still in touch through social media.
