Sample 1

These days, I have a busy schedule, so I use various websites and mobile phone applications to sell and purchase goods. And there’s one website I often use to sell items. The name of the website is OLX. I found out about six years back when I was moving to a new city, and I wanted to sell my furniture and electronic items because the heavy items were difficult to carry to another place.

So people can buy virtually anything from it. There are special separate segments for furniture, electronics, for kitchen items twice. You can even sell your secondhand clothes.

I like this website for many reasons. First and foremost is that it has made our lives comfortable because if you want to buy something and that thing is out of your budget, then you can opt for the secondhand option; for example, last year, one of my friends shifted to my city for two days and that time was a scorching time in summers. So he wanted an air conditioner for two months. So instead of buying a new one, he bought an old one from OLX, and after those two months, he sold it through OLX only, making our life comfortable.

This website is reducing wastage because people keep buying new things. So, due to that, a lot of wastage happens because they discard the old items. Because of OLX, this wastage is reduced because people buy items and do not go for old ones. So, the utilisation of the item is greater, which is good for our planet because the less we produce, the better it will be for the environment. This is a good website, and I suggest everyone use it.

Follow-ups

1. Some people think buying too many clothes for children is a waste.

Buying too many clothes for children is a waste because children are growing. So, at that age, their size changes at short intervals. So if you buy too many clothes, they go to waste. So, one should be mindful while buying clothes for children and purchase those necessary clothes because, with time, you need to change the clothes as the child grows.

2. How do people usually handle the clothes they don’t want?

People usually handle the clothes they don’t want by giving them to, you know, people of a younger age, their brothers, their sisters, and their friends, and sometimes they don’t need them in orphanages, and in modern times, some people sell their Clothes online. They use clothes online through platforms like OLX and Quikr.

3. Why do people buy second-hand clothes?

People buy second-hand clothes for two reasons. First and foremost, some people do not have enough money to buy new clothes. For this reason, they prefer purchasing second-hand clothes; another reason is that some people are environmentally conscious, so they don’t want to harm the environment by buying new clothes, because new clothes and new production are required, so they want to support the environment. That’s why they purchase second-hand clothes.

4. What problems will occur if people don’t recycle?

The problems which will occur. If people don’t recycle firstly, it will lead to a lot of waste of money because instead of recycling, if people buy new products, then they need to spend money again in the second problem, which could cause a lot of lots of waste which is counter-productive for the environment because if we do not recycle so the waste product gets mixed in Our environment and become the cause of pollution.

5. Should the government encourage people to recycle items?

The government should encourage people to recycle items because it saves money. Secondly, it is good for the environment because we recycle items, so we do not produce more. There would be less industry, which would be required, and less air noise and water pollution.

6. How do people in your country recycle items they don’t want?

People in my country recycle items. They don’t want to make something out of them. Most people use their old clothes to make dusting clothes; apart from this, they use plastic items to create plastic crockery and polythene bags.
