Introduction
Although the internet has helped me many times in solving problems, once it confused me, and that instance is worth mentioning.
When was it? And Where was it?
It was two years back when due to the Corona Pandemic, I stayed indoors for six months. I did not have much physical work during that time, so I followed a sedentary lifestyle by indulging in binge eating. Consequently, I gained tremendous weight and turned obese.
Since the people of my township started body-shaming me, I decided to lose weight. As I couldn’t join a gym due to the lockdown, I decided to research on the internet to gain information on how to reduce weight. However, to my dismay, after spending hours on the internet, I needed the correct information.
Why could it not solve your problem?
I got confused after researching on the internet because it is a place where anyone from any part of the world can express their views, and there is no mechanism to check that person’s credentials.
Moreover, the internet is a place to promote products, and many unhealthy items are usually depicted as healthy ones. This thing puts prospective consumers in doubt.
I was baffled because few experts on the internet believed that weight loss thrives primarily on our calorie intake. On the other hand, we can maintain fitness by doing aggressive physical workouts.
After research, I was in a state of absolute disarray.
What did you do?
In the end, I stopped researching on the internet and consulted a renowned dietician in my city Dr. Rimple Sharma online. She advised me to remain mindful regarding what I eat, plus she told me to walk every morning and evening for half an hour.
Her advice worked like a charm for me, and I lost 10 kg of weight in 4 months.
