A traditional product of our country which is worth mentioning is millet. I tried this product for the first time two years back. It is a crop cultivated in the ground, and it was very popular in India before the Green Revolution. All the population used to have it, but after the Green Revolution, wheat production took the front street, and millet production kept declining.

However, with the change of time and awareness, people have realized the immense potential of millet because, unlike wheat, millet doesn’t have gluten, so it’s perfect for your gut health. It does not kill the good bacteria inside your stomach; instead, it wreaks havoc on the harmful bacteria, so it’s an excellent product.

It’s highly nutritious, and it’s not that costly either, so it’s a product that every kitchen should have. I feel that the government should take various steps to enhance millet production. Moreover, the benefits of millet are not well known to the world.

Only a handful of people know about them. Hence, it is the government’s duty to inform the people about the benefits of millet so that a large population will start eating it, there will be fewer health problems, and people will eat a well-balanced and healthy diet.
