Introduction

In the modern era, mobile phones have become our lives’ integral parts, and we thrive primarily on them to do tedious tasks. I had an occasion when I used my smartphone to help others.

When was it?

 Two years back, the nation was in a state of lockdown. During that time, many senior citizens were under tremendous stress because they could not go out for groceries and other things.

What did you do?

To provide unabated support, I formed a Whatsapp group through my phone to solve their conflicts adroitly. I connected all senior citizens of my township with a general physician, one vegetable and fruits vendor and a grocery shop owner.

With the help of my friends, I garnered unstinted support and helped the senior citizens to live life with pride during that challenging time.

Why was it important?

It was important because senior citizens are a blessing to society. They have heaps of knowledge and experience that they share with youngsters and children to lead their lives towards an impressive growth trajectory. Due to this reason, I always seek flashes of inspiration from them.

Hence, when the elderly go through a challenging phase, it is the bounden duty of the youngsters to solve their grave concerns skillfully.

Forming a WhatsApp group helped the elderly in numerous ways, and my little effort solved their pressing problems.

How did you feel?

I felt happy after using my phone to do something worthwhile and earned accolades for participating in a noble cause.
