IELTS SPEAKING INTERVIEW

PART 1-INTRO

What is your full name? 

My complete name is Harmanpreet Singh, and my family members and friends call me Herman. 

What do you do? 

I recently completed my senior secondary in the nonmedical stream, and now I want to go abroad to pursue my higher education.

 What are you studying? 

In my school days, I studied nonmedical, as physics appealed to me because in physics, a lot of equations are there, and all the work is practical.

Why are you interested? 

As I mentioned earlier, physics is a practical subject, not theory, and practical work appeals to me. 

How often do you study?

 I study for three to four hours a day. 

What do you usually prepare for? 

I usually make a timetable for my exams. Also, give a specific time for the specific subject, and at the end, I take a look at the questions. 

Do you prefer studying alone or in a group?

 I mostly prefer to study in a group because it helps me solve complex equations, and I also grab more knowledge from my friends.

Well, shops play an imperative role in our day-to-day life because we purchase a lot of stuff from shops. Here, I want to talk about a recent shop opened in my area. 

I remember that one of my friends told me that a new gaming shop had opened in our area, and at that time, my friend and I went to the shop. And when we saw the shop, we were shocked because the shop was well maintained and also they used a velvet theme on the walls, which encouraged me a lot. 

After that, I also played some games on the PlayStation because they organized some PlayStations, and there are there were 5 setups. Me and my friend played GTA5 at that time because it was my first experience, and it was also a gala day for me.

 After that, I enjoyed that game a lot because in that game, I played the role of Michael, and I also completed some missions in that game. Furthermore, it was a good experience for me. In addition, my friend is a primary customer of this shop, and my friend tells me about the new additions to the shop.

 And also I suggested this shop to my friends, and every weekend, we go to this shop to play some video games. 

Follow-ups

Shopping these days has become one of the people’s favorite hobbies. Why do you think this is? 

Nowadays shopping has become one of people’s favorite hobbies because due to this they can unlock their new skills like bargaining skills and also buy stuff as per their needs.

 What are the main differences between large chain stores and small retailers? 

There is a vast difference between large chain stores and small retailers. If we talk about large chain stores, they provide products direct to the small retailers apart from selling to the consumers. And if we talk about the small retailers, they sell the products to the end users.

Should the government support small retailers? 

Yes, the government should support small retailers in various ways because they have a limited number of customers and do not get substantial revenue from their work. 

What is the impact of consumerism on the society? 

There is a significant impact of consumerism on society because consumers have started buying more products than they need. Also, they spend a lot of money on expensive things which are not suitable for them.
