Finding a quiet place in this modern era is daunting, where there is hustle and bustle everywhere. I’m fortunate to have a calm place near my residence, and I learned about it from one of my friends who took me there.
So this place is called Neighborhood Park, and it’s about two kilometres distance from my home. And I go there every morning and every evening. So the principal tasks I do over there are that in the morning, I meditate, and then I do walking, stretching, and other exercises.
And as far as evening is concerned, a small library is inside that park. So I read in that library, and we friends have a get-together over here every evening where we discuss the whole day. And on the weekends, I go there in the afternoon, and we have a party there. This is a unique area dedicated to parties. And I feel perfect about this place because whenever I have stress, I go there, and my stress goes for a toss.
Apart from that, I feel like I’m in the arms of nature because this place has a clean and pristine environment. Another thing is that by visiting this park, my friend circle has widened because I have met many like-minded people over there who have the same thought patterns as me. So we exchange ideas and discuss our future goals, which brings me a lot of positivity and enthusiasm. So it’s a wonderful place, and I would recommend everyone from my city to visit there to have a comfortable life.

There is more noise at home now than in the past because of various factors. And the first is the availability of too many devices at home, like washing machines and microwave ovens. Also, musical instruments and gadgets that play music have unique features. Due to that, more noise is made at home than in the past.
2. Why do older adults prefer to live in quiet places?
Older adults prefer to live in quiet places because they know the benefits of solitude and peace. Lying in a noisy place adds too much stress, which youngsters do not realize.
3. Do you think only older adults have time for leisure?
No, I don’t think that only older adults have time for leisure. Everybody has time for leisure, so it depends from person to person. Some people waste their precious time on menial tasks or unwanted things, whereas older people do not have many other tasks, so they have more leisure time than others.
4. How does technology affect the way people spend their leisure time? Technology is playing a devastating role in how people spend their leisure time because these days, through the internet, there are various content available which are of short duration, which we call reels or shots. Hence, people remain glued to their mobile phones or TV, and they do not spend their leisure time prudently by aligning with nature, walking, or talking to their friends, so technology is affecting them.
5. How do people spend their leisure time in your country?
In my country, people spend leisure time talking to their near and dear ones. Some people have hobbies like gardening, etc., and some prefer to use technological devices like smartphones to pass their leisure time.
6. Is it easy to find quiet places in your country? Why?
No, it’s not easy to find quiet places in my country because the population has grown manifold in the last 10 years, and due to that, a lot of residential units and industries have been constructed, and that’s why finding a place which does not have hustle and bustle is a daunting task.
