Introduction
These days we thrive primarily on mobile phones to handle our conflicts adroitly. Although I have had numerous wonderful moments while using my smartphone, one is special and worth mentioning.
What was the memorable moment?
The memorable moment was getting in touch with my old friend after a gap of 10 years.
When and where it happened?
Two years back, my country experienced a lockdown due to the corona pandemic. During that time, I took work leave and went home. As I did not have much work, I started spending a boatload of time on social media to widen my friend circle.
One day I got a friend request from my school-time bosom friend Andrew who found me on Facebook. Conversing with my all-weather friend after a gap of 10 years was a dream come true.
Why was it memorable?
It was memorable because when I was in 10th standard, I fell ill and could not go to school for one month, and during that time, Andrew left school because of his father’s transfer to another city. He left his contact number with one of my friends, who lost the details provided by Andrew.
Since we didn’t have each other contact details, we could not talk for ten years. I tried to find Andrew online but have yet to get success. So conversing with Andrew after a gap of 10 years was a memorable moment for me.
How did you feel about it?
I felt good about it because my smartphone helped me to go nostalgic by having a conversation with my lost friend after a long hiatus.
