Sample 1
I believe in the principle that sharing is caring, and this attitude, I have again from my family members because my parents have always encouraged me to share my things with others so that we can help others during difficult times; they always say that sharing is contagious means if you have to share things with others.
Others also share things with you, so I have shared my stuff with others through communication. One such instance worth mentioning was two years back when, due to too much pollution, the government in my city implemented the odd-even scheme, so it was on odd days as if the date were first.
The car with odd numbers would fly on the roads, and if the date is even, the vehicle with even numbers would fly on the road. I had a car with even numbers during that time, and so in my society, many students had to take their exams due to the audience scheme.
So those with odd numbers had problems going to the examination centre on those days when the exam was on even day dates, so I took this step of giving my car, you know, sharing it with others whenever they were even days.
So, members of my society can pass their exams with flying colours because they do not have to use public transport. After all, you should attend an examination with a fresh mind when you are going for an examination. So the result was good, and I felt perfect about it because through my initiative, there was a decent performance from my neighbours, who thanked me for this initiative. The appreciation I received from my neighbours for this act will always remain etched in my memories.
Follow-ups
1. Do you think kids like to share? Why?
Most kids like to share because they believe that sharing strengthens friendships. Moreover, most children do not have enough toys or other things, so they share them with others to enjoy more. Furthermore, children are less selfish in childhood because they focus on building relationships and not earning money, so they like to share things with others.
2. How can parents teach their children to share?
Parents can best teach their children to share by setting an example because there’s no denying the fact that children do not follow their parents’ advice. Instead, they follow their example, so when parents share their things with others, children follow in their footsteps and do the same.
3. What do you think is the benefit of sharing for children?
The benefit of sharing for children is that they make good bonds, which leads their lives towards an impressive trajectory, more so than sharing with others. Good hormones in the brain, like dopamine, oxytocin, and serotonin, make children feel happy.
4. Is there anything that parents can persuade children to share with others?
Most parents convince their children to share their books and knowledge with others because parents know very well that with the exchange of books and knowledge, children can lead their careers towards an impressive growth trajectory.
5. How can the government encourage shared transport?
The government can encourage shared transport by organising awareness campaigns and providing benefits to people who go for exercises like carpooling.
6. Why is sharing food with others during the celebration important?
Sharing food during celebrations is essential because that is when you develop new relationships. Moreover, sharing food with others releases good hormones like dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin inside you, which are happiness hormones. So whenever you do such work, you feel happy, which is paramount for making you a better person.
